World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman

"World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman" (Japanese: 聖剣使いの禁呪詠唱（ワールドブレイク）, Seiken Tsukai no Wārudo Bureiku), is a Japanese light novel series written by Akamitsu Awamura and illustrated by refeia. SB Creative has published 22 volumes under their GA Bunko imprint since November 2012. The story is set at Akane Academy, where students with special powers known as "Saviors" are trained to defend against monsters called "Metaphysicals." Saviors are divided into "Shirogane" (White Iron) who wield weapons and martial arts, and "Kuroma" (Black Magic) who use magic. The protagonist, Moroha Haimura, possesses memories of two past lives: Flaga, a swordmaster and prince, and Shu Saura, a magician and King of the Netherworld, granting him both Shirogane and Kuroma abilities. The narrative follows Moroha's school life, his reunions with his past life relatives and lovers, and their battles against the emerging Metaphysicals. It has been adapted into a 12-episode anime television series which aired from January to March 2015, as well as a manga and a game.
