デュエル・マスターズ VS

Duel Masters Versus is a manga and anime series within the Duel Masters franchise, serving as a sequel to Duel Masters Victory V3. The story takes place after the events of the Victory series, where Duel Bans were enacted in Yao Town due to past intense battles. Two years later, the ban is lifted, and the protagonist, Katta Kirifuda, initially loses interest in dueling. However, after reuniting with his childhood friend, Lulu Takigawa, he reignites his passion for dueling and embarks on new adventures. Both manga and anime adopt the same setting, but the anime series tends to be more comedic than Victory V3. Duel Masters Versus marks the beginning of the "Versus Saga," where Katta will face new friends, rivals, and challenges on his journey to become the strongest duelist. The series includes manga and anime adaptations, along with related merchandise. Duel Masters VSR and Duel Masters VSRF are the follow-up series, broadcast in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
