Gundam Reconguista in G

Gundam Reconguista in G (Japanese: ガンダム Gのレコンギスタ), also known as G-Reco, is a 2014 Japanese science fiction anime television series produced by Sunrise and the 13th installment in the Gundam franchise. It is written and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, marking his return to directing a Gundam TV series since Turn A Gundam in 1999. Set in the Regild Century, 1014 years after the end of the Universal Century, the story follows Bellri Zenam, a pilot trainee in the Capital Guard, who encounters the mysterious mobile suit G-Self and its pilot, Aida Surgan. This encounter leads him on an adventure involving various factions like the Capital Guard, the Pirate Corps, the Amerian Army, Towasanga, and the Venus Globe, all vying for control of resources and power. The series delves into the conflicts between these groups and explores themes of war, peace, and the cyclical nature of history. A five-part film compilation series was released from 2019 to 2022.
