Argevollen

"Argevollen" (Japanese: 白銀の意思 アルジェヴォルン, Hepburn: Shirogane no Ishi Arujevorun, lit. "Silver Will Argevollen") is a Japanese original mecha anime television series produced by Xebec. The story is set in a world where the Kingdom of Arandas and the Countries Unification of Ingelmia have been at war for a long time. Due to large-scale environmental and geological changes caused by the explosion of strategic weapons in past wars, aircraft are unusable, making humanoid mobile weapons called "Trail Kriegers" the main focus of warfare. The protagonist, Susumu Tokimune, belongs to the Independent 8th Unit of Arandas. In an operation, he rescues the engineer Jamie Hazaford, and becomes the pilot of the new mech "Argevollen." Argevollen is unique due to its U-Link system which molds to its pilot's mind and cannot be piloted by anyone else. The anime began airing on July 3, 2014, and was simulcast on Crunchyroll. The series explores the complex relationships between war, technology, and humanity, and has gained popularity for its unique mecha designs and engaging plot.
