"Denki-Gai no Honya-san," also known as "The Electric Town's Bookstore," or abbreviated as "Denki-gai," is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Asato Mizu. It portrays slice-of-life stories about a group of characters working at a fictional dōjin shop named Umanohone, a reference to the real-life dōjin shop Comic Toranoana. The manga was serialized in Media Factory's Comic Flapper magazine from June 2011 to November 2017. A drama CD was released in August 2013. An anime television series adaptation produced by Shin-Ei Animation aired from October 2, 2014 to December 18, 2014, for 12 episodes. The story revolves around Umio, a shy boy who starts a part-time job at a manga store in the city center, and his coworkers. They are a close-knit group of friends, have nicknames for each other, and spend their weekends indoors, away from the outside world. As of June 2017, the manga had over 1 million copies in print.
