Lance N' Masques (ランス・アンド・マスクス) is a Japanese light novel series written by Hideaki Koyasu and illustrated by Shino. The series was published by Pony Canyon under their Poni Can Books imprint starting in 2013. The story revolves around Yōtarō Hanafusa, a member of the last remaining knight order in the 21st century, the "Knights of the World." Yōtarō tries to live a normal life, concealing his knightly identity, but his deep-rooted "White Knight Syndrome" makes him instinctively help others. He dons a mask to become "Knight Lancer" and protects Makio Kidouin, a young girl from a wealthy family. The series was also adapted into a television anime by Studio Gokumi, which aired in 2015. It combines elements of battle, action, and daily life, depicting how Yōtarō manages various challenges and protects those he cherishes while hiding his identity.
