Gundam Build Fighters Try (Japanese: ガンダムビルドファイターズトライ) is a 2014 Japanese science fiction anime television series produced by Sunrise. It is a sequel to the 2013 anime series Gundam Build Fighters. Unlike other Gundam series, Gundam Build Fighters Try features a tournament-based storyline centered around the building, customizing, and battling of Gunpla (Gundam plastic models). Set seven years after the events of Gundam Build Fighters, the rules of Gunpla battles have been renewed, making the sport even more popular. However, Seiho Academy, once attended by Sei Iori, lags behind in this change. The only remaining member of the Gunpla Battle Club, Fumina Hoshino, befriends Sekai Kamiki, a boy from a martial arts dojo, and a young Gunpla builder named Yuuma Kousaka. Together, as the "Try Fighters," they strive to participate in the world championship. The new battle rules change from one-on-one matches to three-member team battles, and introduce new damage level system. The series is directed by Shinya Watada and written by Yousuke Kuroda, and it premiered on TV Tokyo on October 8, 2014.
