It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's magazine "Young Ace" from July 2009 to April 2017, and has been compiled into nine tankōbon volumes. An anime adaptation by Arms aired in Japan between January and March 2015. The story revolves around Shinichirō, a male student who takes a job as a housekeeper to pay his rent. He inadvertently releases a strange creature into the world and learns that his female employer, Sakuya, is the head of the Shimizu clan, which hunts these creatures. Shinichirō cooperates with Sakuya to hunt down the monsters that are on the loose. The series blends action, comedy, and fantasy elements. Isuca is a significant character, a western mage with long blonde hair and purple eyes, and is an antagonist in the story. She holds a great grudge against the Shimazu family and focuses her anger on Sakuya. It is revealed that Isuca was Sakuya's mother, who died protecting Nami and had her soul transferred to a homunculus.
