"Shomin Sample," also known as "I Was Abducted by an Elite All-Girls School as a Sample Commoner," is a Japanese light novel series written by Takafumi Nanatsuki. The story follows Kimito Kagurazaka, an ordinary high school student who is forcibly abducted and enrolled in an elite all-girls academy. He is brought in as a "commoner sample" to help the sheltered young ladies adapt to the outside world. The school mistakenly believes Kimito is homosexual with a muscle fetish, thus deemed harmless to the innocent girls. To avoid castration or exile, Kimito has no choice but to cooperate. The narrative unfolds as Kimito tries to hide his true orientation and gradually integrates into the lives of these isolated young ladies. The series has been adapted into manga, anime, and a drama CD. The anime, produced by SILVER LINK., aired in 2015. It is known for its light-hearted humor and unique harem setting.
