Sky Wizards Academy

Sky Wizards Academy (Japanese: 空戦魔導士候補生の教官, Kūsen Madōshi Kōhosei no Kyōkan, lit. "The Instructor of the Aerial Combat Wizard Trainees") is a Japanese light novel series written by Yū Moroboshi and illustrated by Mikihiro Amami (later Yuka Nakajima). The story is set in a world where humanity, driven off the land by magical armored insects, now lives in aerial floating cities. Wizards, aerial combat mages who fight the insects, emerged as humanity's defense. The protagonist, Kanata Age, once celebrated as the "Black Master Swordsman" and ace of the elite S128 special team, is now despised as a "traitor." He is assigned as the instructor of E601, a team that has suffered numerous defeats, consisting of three girls: Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel, each with their own peculiar quirks. The light novels have been published by Fujimi Shobo since July 2013, and have been adapted into a manga and a 12-episode anime series by Diomedéa, which aired between July and September 2015. The series blends fantasy, action, school, and harem elements. While the anime received mixed reviews, the light novels and manga maintain a fan base.
