Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] (2015)

Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] is an anime series produced by ufotable, adapting the Unlimited Blade Works route from the visual novel Fate/stay night by Type-Moon. The story follows Shirou Emiya, a high school student who is unexpectedly drawn into the Fifth Holy Grail War, a secret magical tournament where seven mages known as “Masters” and their “Servants”—reincarnated legendary heroes—fight for the Holy Grail, an omnipotent chalice capable of granting any wish. Shirou and his Servant Saber are forced to ally with Rin Tohsaka, another Master, but Shirou earns the strong dislike of Rin's mysterious Servant Archer, whose motives are unknown. The anime delves deeper into Shirou's conflicts with Archer and includes new scenes not in the original visual novel. Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] was aired in two seasons, the first from October to December 2014 and the second from April to June 2015. It received high praise for its character development and striking visuals, achieving significant commercial success.
