Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!

Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! (美男高校地球防衛部LOVE!, Binan Kōkō Chikyū Bōei-bu LOVE!) is a Japanese magical boy anime television series created by Kurari Umatani and produced by Diomedéa. Directed by Shinji Takamatsu and written by Michiko Yokote, the series premiered on January 6, 2015. The story follows five ordinary high school boys, led by Yumoto Hakone, who are suddenly given nature-based powers by a pink wombat-like creature from outer space, becoming the "Battle Lovers." They must use the power of love to combat those intent on spreading hate and discord, primarily the members of the "Earth Conquest Club," which is made up of the student council. The anime is known for its parody of the magical girl genre and its comedic style. In addition to the anime, the franchise includes manga, light novels, and games. The series consists of two seasons, an OVA, and a film scheduled for release in January 2025. The anime is characterized by its over-the-top transformation sequences, absurd enemies, and lighthearted tone, making it a playful subversion of the traditional magical girl genre.
