Tsukimonogatari: Yotsugi Doll

"Tsukimonogatari: Yotsugi Doll," also known as "Possession Tale," is the thirteenth installment in the Monogatari series and the first of its final season, written by Nisio Isin. The story revolves around Koyomi Araragi, who, while preparing for his college entrance exams, discovers that he can no longer see his reflection in mirrors, a sign of a vampire. To address this, he seeks help from Yotsugi Ononoki, a doll-like oddity, and her master, Yozuru Kagenui. As the narrative unfolds, Araragi learns that he is transforming into a vampire due to his excessive use of his vampire powers. He also encounters Tadatsuru Teori, a former oddity specialist and the one who created Yotsugi, leading to a dangerous confrontation. The story explores themes of self-sacrifice, the blurred lines between humans and oddities, and intricate interpersonal relationships. The anime adaptation aired on December 31, 2014, consisting of four episodes.
