Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, also known as Wolf Girl and Black Prince, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ayuko Hatta. It has been adapted into an anime television series and a live-action film. The story revolves around Erika Shinohara, a vain 16-year-old girl who pretends to have a boyfriend to impress her friends. She secretly takes a photo of a handsome boy and claims he is her boyfriend. However, this “boyfriend” turns out to be her schoolmate, Kyouya Sata, a seemingly kind but actually black-hearted sadist. To maintain her lie, Erika is forced to become Kyouya's fake girlfriend and is treated like his dog, thus beginning a turbulent romantic comedy. The anime adaptation of Wolf Girl and Black Prince aired in October 2014, with Takahiro Sakurai and Kanae Itō voicing the main characters. Furthermore, a live-action film adaptation of the series was produced, starring Fumi Nikaido and Kento Yamazaki. Despite its elements of mockery and sadomasochism, the story has attracted many viewers with its unique humor and romantic atmosphere, and it raises questions about love and lies. The series also includes many relevant musical pieces, such as the opening theme song 'LOVE GOOD TIME' and the ending theme song 'Ookami Heart'.
