Gunslinger Stratos -THE ANIMATION-

Gunslinger Stratos -THE ANIMATION- is a Japanese anime adaptation of the arcade game of the same name. Produced by A-1 Pictures, it aired from April to June 2015. The story is set in 2115, where the world is divided into two parallel dimensions: the freedom-oriented "Frontier S" and the highly regulated "17th Far East Imperial Capital Management District." These two worlds are in conflict due to a space-time fusion. The main characters are agents from these two different worlds, who use weapons called "Double Gun Devices" to fight. The anime version adapts the original game while incorporating original plot elements. It mainly tells the story of how the agents fight to prevent further collapse of the world against the backdrop of the parallel worlds' merging. The anime is known for its fast-paced battle scenes and intricate worldview. It also explores themes such as freedom versus order, and individual choice versus collective destiny. The anime consists of 12 episodes. There's also a web distribution version that differs from the television broadcast version in terms of plot. Following its airing, related manga works have been published, further enriching the world of Gunslinger Stratos.
