"Hero Company" (ヒーローカンパニー) is a Japanese manga created by Kazuhiko Shimamoto and BigBang Project (Daisuke Saito), serialized in the inaugural issue of "Monthly Heroes." The story is set in 2XXX, where a company called "Hero Company" employs numerous heroes to maintain city peace. The protagonist, Ginga Amano, passes the entrance exam and becomes a hero. The manga portrays the daily lives of heroes as company employees and the challenges they face during missions. In addition to the main combat department, the Hero Company also has departments such as general affairs, sales, and auditing, similar to a regular company. There is also a "Sentai Division" with multiple five-member teams. An OVA anime adaptation was released in 2015. Notably, the manga was adopted by the Metropolitan Police Department for anti-theft posters, demonstrating its influence in Japan. Due to author Kazuhiko Shimamoto also taking over as president of his family's company, the manga has been on long hiatus since the August 2016 issue, and "Monthly Heroes" ceased publication with the December 2020 issue.
