蒼穹のファフナー EXODUS (2015)

'Fafner in the Azure: EXODUS' is a 2015 Japanese anime television series produced by XEBEC, serving as the fourth installment in the 'Fafner in the Azure' franchise and set two years after 'Fafner in the Azure: HEAVEN AND EARTH'. The series consists of 26 episodes, split into two seasons. The story is set in 2150 AD, where the battle between humanity and the silicon-based life forms known as Festum enters a new phase. Fragments of the North Pole Mir have scattered across the world and begun to act independently. While most Mir hate humanity and attack them, some choose to coexist with humans. There are also humans who share similar thoughts with the Festum, beings possessing both human and Festum traits. This has caused even more chaos and hatred to the battle. 'EXODUS' portrays how Tatsumiya Island faces these new challenges and how its children try to understand the enemy and discover new ways of survival. The series deeply explores the relationship between humanity and the Festum, as well as the meaning and cost of war.
