Shin Atashinchi

"Shin Atashinchi" (新あたしンち), also known as "New Atashin'chi", is the sequel anime series to "Atashin'chi", produced by Shin-Ei Animation. It aired in Japan from October 6, 2015, to April 5, 2016, with a total of 26 episodes. The series continues the daily family comedy style of its predecessor, focusing on the everyday humorous life of the Tachibana family: a somewhat careless mother, a taciturn father, their high school daughter Mikan, and middle school son Yuzuhiko. Unlike the original series, "Shin Atashinchi" consists of three 7-minute short stories per episode, replacing the previous format of two segments, and does not include the extra short skits at the end of episodes. The series portrays the seemingly ordinary lives of the family with humorous moments and a keen observation of everyday life. It was previously available on Crunchyroll and select episodes can be viewed on the official YouTube channel with English subtitles. "Shin Atashinchi" maintains the style of the original series, while introducing some new elements that enrich the stories of the Tachibana family.
