Hundred

Hundred (ハンドレッド, Handoreddo) is a Japanese light novel series written by Jun Misaki and illustrated by Nekosuke Ōkuma. SB Creative published 16 volumes under their GA Bunko imprint from November 15, 2012, to October 15, 2018. The series is set in a world where Earth is under attack by mysterious life forms called "Savage," and the only weapon that can counter them is called "Hundred." Those who can wield a Hundred are called "Slayers," and they are trained for combat. The protagonist, Hayato Kisaragi, enrolls in the marine academy city ship "Little Garden" to get treatment for his sister. There, he feels a strange sense of incongruity towards his roommate, Emile Crossford, who seems to know him from somewhere. Furthermore, he is challenged to a duel by Claire Harvey, the "Queen" and strongest Slayer of the school, shortly after entering. The story follows Hayato's journey as he fights against the Savage with his Hundred and his relationships with his classmates at Little Garden. The series also has manga and anime adaptations, with the anime airing from April to June 2016.
