Their salaries are even paid from local taxes. In 2014, the manga was adapted into a TV anime series produced by feel., with additional OVA episodes. Alongside the anime, drama CDs, theme songs and insert songs were also produced. "Locodol" is beloved for its lighthearted and humorous style, showcasing the daily life and challenges of local idols.
