Hakone

"Hot Springs Fairy Hakone-chan" (温泉幼精ハコネちゃん, Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan) is a Japanese comedy web manga series created by Daisuke Yui, serialized online on Aplix's Comic Meteor website. It has been collected into two tankōbon volumes. A short three-minute episode anime series by Asahi Production and Production Reed aired from October 4 to December 27, 2015, and was simulcasted on Crunchyroll. The story revolves around Hakone, a hot spring fairy who awakens in modern-day Japan after many years of dormant rest. However, while she slept, she took on the appearance of a young girl. She decides to cooperate with the locals while trying to regain her powers. High school student Toya stumbles upon her at a hot spring and ends up helping Hakone retrieve her original powers. The series primarily focuses on Hakone's journey to recover her powers, as well as the comedic events that occur with the people around her. Both the manga and anime portray Hakone's cuteness and the contrast between her and modern society in a lighthearted and humorous way. The anime adaptation features short episodes, making it suitable for casual viewing.
