Classicaloid

"ClassicaLoid" (クラシカロイド) is a Japanese original musical comedy anime television series produced by Sunrise and NHK. The first season premiered on October 8, 2016, on NHK E, and aired until April 1, 2017. A second season aired from October 7, 2017, to March 24, 2018. The story revolves around high school students Kanae Otowa and Sosuke Kagura who live in a town trying to revitalize itself with music. One day, they encounter ClassicaLoids – versions of famous classical composers like Beethoven and Mozart who have the power to use “Musik”, a strange ability that causes bizarre events. More ClassicaLoids like Bach, Chopin, and Schubert appear, and the series follows the origins and mysteries surrounding them. The anime blends classical music with modern pop culture, creating a unique and humorous viewing experience. ClassicaLoids are artificial humans created by Arkhe Corporation, who incidentally bear the memories of classical composers. They have the mysterious ability called “Musik”. Initially called Arkheloid, the term ClassicaLoid was coined by Bach. The music is composed by Masashi Hamauzu and features musical renditions by Daisuke Asakura, Tomoyasu Hotei, tofubeats, and Tsunku for Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart and Bach, respectively.
