Servamp

SERVAMP is a Japanese manga series created by Strike Tanaka, serialized in Monthly Comic GENE since 2011. It blends action, comedy, and supernatural elements, telling the story of high school student Mahiru Shirota and a vampire (Servamp) named Kuro. Servamps, a combination of “Servant” and “Vampire,” can form contracts with humans (called “Eves”), serving them in exchange for blood. Kuro is one of seven Servamps, representing the sin of “Sloth.” The story begins when Mahiru finds a black cat, naming it “Kuro.” Soon, Mahiru discovers Kuro is not just a cat but a powerful vampire, and he himself is forced to become Kuro's “Eve.” As the story progresses, Mahiru gets caught up in the Servamp war and learns about the Servamps' origins and complex relationships. Besides Kuro, there are other Servamps representing different sins, each with their own masters and followers. The series is filled with suspense and battles, intermixed with comedic elements. It has been adapted into anime and drama CDs, gaining widespread popularity.
