DIABOLIK LOVERS (2015)

Diabolik Lovers is a Japanese otome game franchise created by Rejet. The first game was released in October 2012 for the PlayStation Portable. The franchise has since released multiple games, with the first two also ported to the PlayStation Vita as "Limited V Editions." A seventh game was released for the Nintendo Switch in March 2019. In addition to the games, the franchise has been adapted into two 12-episode anime television series, which aired in 2013 and 2015, respectively. The first anime season was followed by an original video animation (OVA) bundled with the Diabolik Lovers: Dark Fate game in February 2015. Diabolik Lovers has also expanded into various manga, drama CDs, music CDs, and fanbooks. Furthermore, three stage plays have been produced, running in August 2015, August 2016, and January 2018. In February 2020, Rejet announced a new project set in the same universe as Diabolik Lovers, titled Carnelian Blood, featuring a 5-man unit called EROSION. The story centers on the protagonist Yui Komori, who is forced to live with six vampire brothers. Through their interactions, she gradually learns about their past and uncovers secrets about herself and them. The series is known for its gothic style and dark romantic themes.
