"Bungo Stray Dogs" (Japanese: 文豪ストレイドッグス) is a Japanese manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. Set in modern-day Yokohama, the story revolves around a group of literary figures with supernatural abilities, primarily members of the Armed Detective Agency, who combat various threats including the Port Mafia and other supernatural entities. The protagonist, Atsushi Nakajima, is kicked out of his orphanage and ends up joining the agency, discovering his ability to transform into a white tiger. Alongside the suicidal maniac Osamu Dazai, and other unique members, they tackle cases. The series creatively reimagines famous Japanese authors such as Osamu Dazai, Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and Atsushi Nakajima, giving them supernatural powers inspired by their works. Aside from the manga, there are also anime, novels, and stage play adaptations that are beloved by a global fan base. Known for its unique premise, intense action sequences, and compelling plot, it has become a popular and well-regarded anime and manga series in recent years.
