Luger Code 1951 is a short manga series written by Haruto Haneki and illustrated by Akira Akatsuki, which was later adapted into an anime. Produced by Studio Deen, the anime aired in October 2016 and lasted approximately 25 minutes. The story is set in a world where humans are at war with werewolves, and revolves around Testa, a young linguistic genius university professor, who is assigned to decipher the mysterious "Luger Code" used by werewolves. Introduced by a sergeant, Testa encounters Yonaga, a captured werewolf girl. Throughout the anime, Testa attempts to understand the werewolves’ language and culture, but becomes embroiled in battles as the plot progresses. Despite its unique background setting, due to its limited duration, the plot moves quickly and many concepts are not explored in depth. The anime's ending is relatively open, without fully resolving the story's conflicts, leaving many unanswered questions. While Luger Code 1951 has innovative elements in its premise, it received mixed reviews due to its limited length and fast-paced plot.
