SUSHI POLICE

"Sushi Police" is a 3DCG animated series inspired by the Japanese Government's attempt to regulate global Japanese restaurants, known as the 'Sushi Police' incident. Set in the lead-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a global sushi boom has emerged, but so has a proliferation of inauthentic sushi. The Japanese Government, in collaboration with other countries, establishes the World Food-Culture Conservation Organization (WFCO) to protect and promote authentic local cuisine. WFCO's 9th Division, also known as the 'Sushi Police,' is notorious for their aggressive conduct, targeting any restaurants serving inauthentic Japanese food in the U.S., Russia, France, and China, using any means necessary to eliminate bad sushi. The series depicts the struggle between those 'wanting to protect authentic food culture' and those 'wanting to restore their right to eat what they like.' Key characters include Honda, the leader who can hear the "sushi cry", Suzuki, a data analysis expert, and Kawasaki, an android investigator. The plot revolves around the Sushi Police's missions around the world and their conflict with Sara, a reporter seeking to expose their corruption.
