Yowamushi Pedal New Generation

Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation is the third season of the Yowamushi Pedal anime series. It continues the story from the previous two seasons, focusing on the Sohoku High School bicycle racing club after their victory against the reigning champions, Hakone Academy. With the third-year seniors retiring, the first-year students, including Sakamichi Onoda, Shunsuke Imaizumi, and Shoukichi Naruko, team up with the new captain Junta Teshima and vice-captain Hajime Aoyagi. They aim to win again at the Inter-High national race. Meanwhile, their rivals at Hakone Academy have also gained new members and are training to reclaim their championship. Kyoto Fushimi High, led by the peculiar rider Akira Midousuji, also competes as all high schools in the nation strive to excel at the Inter-High. This season aired from January 10, 2017, to June 27, 2017, with a total of 25 episodes. The animation covers the conclusion of the storyline's first year, the beginning of the second year, the development of Sohoku's new team, and the start of the 42nd Summer Inter-High up to the climber checkpoint results of the first day. It adapts Wataru Watanabe’s manga series, keeping the intense sports theme and focusing on the competition, friendship, and cycling.
