Twin Star Exorcists (Japanese: 双星の陰陽師, Sōsei no Onmyōji) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiaki Sukeno. The story revolves around two young and talented exorcists, Rokuro Enmado and Benio Adashino, who are prophesied to marry and have a child who will be the ultimate exorcist. Rokuro was once a promising exorcist but abandoned the profession due to a past tragedy. Benio, on the other hand, is a powerful exorcist determined to eliminate all impurities. They are given the title of "Twin Star Exorcists," and their destinies become intertwined. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine from November 2013 to September 2024, with 35 collected tankōbon volumes. The series was also adapted into an anime television series produced by Studio Pierrot, which aired from April 2016 to March 2017. Additionally, three light novels and two spin-off manga series have been published. The plot involves grotesque monsters known as "Impurities" residing in Magano, a realm parallel to the present day, and exorcists who purify these evil apparitions to protect people. The Twin Star Exorcists possess a special ability called "Resonance," which allows them to combine their powers to enhance their attacks or access abilities that no other exorcist possesses.
