Kuromukuro

Kuromukuro (クロムクロ) is a Japanese mecha anime television series produced by P.A. Works, directed by Tensai Okamura, and written by Ryō Higaki. The series was created to commemorate the 15th anniversary of P.A. Works. It follows Yukina Shirahane, a student at Tateyama International High School, and Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma, a young samurai born in the Sengoku period who awakens in the present day from a mysterious artifact called the "Cube". When an extraterrestrial force called Efi Dorg invades Earth, seeking to collect fragments of an artifact called the "Pivot Stone" to dominate the planet, Kennosuke pilots a stolen Efi Dorg mecha called the "Black Relic" with Yukina as his navigator, biometrically synchronized due to an accident. Together, with the support of the United Nations Kurobe Laboratory, they fight to thwart Efi Dorg's plans. The series premiered on April 7, 2016, on the Japanese TV channel AT-X and was exclusively streamed worldwide by Netflix. The plot includes flashbacks to an earlier Efi Dorg invasion 450 years ago where Kennosuke and Princess Yukihime fought together.
