Active Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit - Second

Active Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit is a sci-fi action anime set in a near-future Tokyo that has been rebuilt after the "Third Quicksand Disaster." To combat escalating crime, police forces begin using powered armor called "Willwear" and the associated "ACTIVE" system. The story centers on a special police unit called "Unit 8," which belongs to the Fifth Special Public Security Section's Third Mobile Assault Division. This unit is notorious for its reckless tactics and the resulting collateral damage. Assistant Inspector Asami Kazari is assigned to Unit 8, ostensibly to assess their performance but actually to rehabilitate the disorganized team. She discovers that despite their unorthodox methods, Unit 8 possesses exceptional skills, constrained only by rigid regulations. With Kazari's arrival, Unit 8 not only fights crime but also overcomes internal challenges, continuously growing as a team. Produced by Production IMS, the anime aired in two seasons, the first in January 2016 and the second in July 2016.
