Qualidea Code

Qualidea Code (クオリディア・コード) is a Japanese multimedia project co-published by multiple publishers, encompassing light novels, manga, and an anime adaptation. The story is set in a world where humanity is at war with extradimensional beings known as the "Unknown." Years ago, children were placed in cryogenic sleep to escape the Unknown's invasion. Upon awakening, they discover they have developed supernatural abilities called "Worlds." To protect Japan, these children must fight the Unknown emerging from Tokyo Bay. The narrative revolves around the defense of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba, with six powerful children leading the charge in these cities. They must navigate their personality clashes and inter-city rivalries to combat the growing threat of the Unknown. The anime, produced by A-1 Pictures and aired in 2016, showcases these young warriors' battles and growth in a post-apocalyptic setting. The world of the series is jointly developed by a writing team called Speakeasy, who also wrote the anime screenplay.
