Onigiri

Onigiri (鬼斬, lit. Demon Cutter) is an action massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by CyberStep. The game is set in a fantasy world reminiscent of ancient Japan, where humans and non-humans like Oni and Yōkai coexist. The plot revolves around the ancient entity Kamikui, who brought death and destruction before being stopped by the goddess Amaterasu Oomikami. The goddess sealed Kamikui away, but one of the seals has now shattered. Players take on the role of an Oni from Onigashima, whose peaceful life is disrupted by Kamikui's revival. Players can choose a weapon specialization such as axes, greatswords, spears, or swords, and level up basic stats like power, vitality, wisdom, mind, and dexterity. They can also increase their affection with NPC partners who have unique personalities and abilities by giving them gifts. Originally released in Japan and North America in 2014, the game has also been released on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Despite some criticism for monotony at high levels, Onigiri has received positive reviews for its combat and character design. The game also has an anime television adaptation.
