Bananya

Bananya (ばなにゃ) is an original Japanese anime television series produced by animation studio Gathering. It aired from July 4, 2016, to September 26, 2016, and was streamed outside of Japan by Crunchyroll. The series follows the story of a white cat that lives inside a banana, known as "Bananya." Bananya is an optimistic and carefree cat with the upper body of a cute white cat and the lower body resembling a banana peel. He has blackish-brown eyes, two whiskers on each side of his face, and pink cheeks. Bananya behaves mostly like a normal cat, exhibiting curiosity, playfulness, and even the natural instinct to hunt small creatures. However, he sometimes overcomes these instincts in favor of food or friendship, especially sweets. Bananya's lifelong dream is to become a trendy chocolate-covered bananya. He is also empathetic and friendly with other Bananyas, showing special interest in Bananyako and Droopy-Eared Bananya. In the second season, he displays great curiosity about Earth, which can be seen from the Bananya planet. Besides the main character Bananya, there are other different bananya characters in the show, including Bananyako, Black Bananya, Baby Bananya, and Daddy Bananya. Each character has its unique appearance and personality. For example, Bananyako is a pink and white cat who loves makeup, Black Bananya is a posh black cat with a love for fine cuisine, Baby Bananya is the smallest bananya who likes banana milk, and Daddy Bananya is the oldest bananya. The short anime is known for its cute characters and lighthearted atmosphere.
