Nyanbo!

Nyanbo! (にゃんぼー！) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Shirogumi. It's a spin-off of Kiyohiko Azuma's Yotsuba&! manga, based on the cat-like versions of the Danbo characters from that series. It premiered on September 27, 2016, on NHK Educational TV. The story follows the adventures of Nyanbo, square creatures with cat-like features who come to Earth from space and live freely in places unknown to humans. Among them is Tora, who dreams of fixing their UFO and returning to space, and other Nyanbo such as Tora’s sister Kotora, the fashionable Shiro, the mischievous Mike, and the mysterious Kuro. These Nyanbo live much like cats, carefree and sometimes causing trouble. The anime combines live-action with 3DCG animation, and each episode features a special illustration by Kiyohiko Azuma, the author of Yotsuba&!, in the ending credits.
