あはれ! 名作くん

"Aww! Meisaku-kun" (Ahare! Meisaku-kun) is a Japanese anime series produced by Pie in the sky, also known as "Meisaku-kun". It originally aired as a segment on the NHK E-Tele children's program "Bit World" from April 8, 2016, to March 25, 2022. The story is set in a school that aims to train famous fairy tale characters, and follows the daily comedic lives of transfer student Matsuda Meisaku and his classmates – including the super-idiotic but energetic Sweets, Musubi who gets angry when called a rice ball, the narcissistic self-proclaimed robot Nokio, and the mysterious turtle Bolt, who is faster than a rabbit. The anime is popular for its unique humor and deconstruction of classic stories and released multiple seasons during its run. To continue production, the anime also underwent crowdfunding and launched a new series called "Ryugu-chu hen" on YouTube. The series is characterized by its characters who mimic classic story figures and frequently invites various guests to participate in voice acting, including voice actors, actors, comedians and even the virtual idol Hatsune Miku. This work combines school comedy, fantasy elements, and shows students pursuing their dreams of becoming classic characters in a humorous way.
