亜人 (2016 第2クール)

Ajin: Demi-Human is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai, serialized in the magazine good! Afternoon from 2012 to 2021. The story follows Kei Nagai, who discovers he is an immortal "Ajin" after a traffic accident and is subsequently hunted by the government. During his escape, he encounters Satou, another Ajin, and becomes embroiled in a struggle for Ajin rights. The series is notable for its unique premise, suspenseful plot, and profound themes. In 2016, Ajin received a second season of its TV anime adaptation, which continues the story from the first season and further explores the conflict between Ajins and humans, as well as the protagonist Kei Nagai's struggle for survival. The second season, produced by Polygon Pictures, uses 3DCG technology, which contributes to the show's unique visual style. This anime delves into existential questions about the meaning of being an Ajin, the complexity of human nature, and society's exclusion of the unconventional, stimulating deep reflection among its audience.
