"12-sai.: Chicchana Mune no Tokimeki 2nd Season" continues the story of sixth-grade girl Hanabi and her friends as they navigate the challenges and emotions of puberty. The story revolves around Hanabi, a girl who is neither an adult nor a child, as she accidentally witnesses her homeroom teacher kissing and worries about experiencing physiological changes before her friends. The series delicately depicts the innocent worries and first loves of 12-year-old girls. Hanabi becomes a couple with her crush, Yuto Takao, while her best friend, Yui, forms a relationship with the somewhat brash Kazuma Hiyama. In the second season, they continue to face various challenges in love and friendship, along with the confusions of growing up. The animation for this season was produced by OLM, with 12 episodes airing in Fall 2016. The opening theme is "Ano ne, Kimi dake ni" by AŌP, and the ending theme is "Yuuki no Tsubasa" by Machico. This series is adapted from the manga of the same name by Nao Maita, and it's a work that sensitively portrays the adolescence of girls, making it popular among viewers.
