Tales of Zestiria the X (2017)

Tales of Zestiria the X is a Japanese anime television series adapted from the Tales of Zestiria video game. Produced by ufotable, it aired from July 2016 to April 2017, spanning two seasons. The anime adapts not only the story of Tales of Zestiria but also incorporates elements from Tales of Berseria, creating a parallel world where the two timelines intersect. The story follows Sorey, a human youth who has grown up among the “seraphim,” spiritual beings, as he becomes the “Shepherd,” tasked with purifying the world of malevolence. Sorey believes humans and seraphim can coexist peacefully, and his journey is filled with adventures and challenges as he confronts the forces of darkness and those responsible for the calamities. The anime is known for its stunning visuals and action sequences while exploring themes of good versus evil and the relationship between humans and the spiritual world. The series takes some deviations from the game's plot, while maintaining the core elements and adding original storylines to give the viewer a unique experience.
