My Hero Academia OVA

The OVAs (Original Video Animations) of 'My Hero Academia' serve as supplementary content to the anime series, providing extra stories and episodes outside of the main plotline. These OVAs are usually released as special episodes rather than being part of the main TV anime seasons, offering fans more opportunities to learn about the characters and the world. Since 2016, 'My Hero Academia' has produced several OVAs, including 'Save! Rescue Training!' (2016), 'Training of the Dead' (2017), and 'All Might Rising' (2019), along with later releases such as 'Make It! Do-or-Die Survival Training,' 'HLB,' 'Laugh! As If You Are in Hell,' and 'U.A. Heroes Battle.' These OVAs cover various themes, from training scenarios to lighthearted sports events and additional adventures, further enriching the story's world. Notably, some of the OVA content is adapted from extra manga created by manga author Kohei Horikoshi, such as 'All Might Rising' and 'Departure'. Specifically, the first OVA, 'Save! Rescue Training!' released on November 27, 2016, tells the story of Class 1-A students encountering the remnants of villains during rescue training at USJ (Unforeseen Simulation Joint), while the 2017 'Training of the Dead' narrates the exciting story of Class 1-A students encountering zombies during outdoor survival training with students from Yuuei Academy. The release formats for these OVAs include DVD/Blu-ray and some bundled with theatrical film bonuses. This extra content allows fans to delve deeper into the world of 'My Hero Academia' while also seeing the characters' interactions and growth outside of the main storyline.
