キミノヒカリ ~あさがおと加瀬さん.~

"Kimi no Hikari: Asagao to Kase-san." (Your Light: Kase-san and Morning Glories) is an anime adaptation of the yuri manga series "Kase-san" by Hiromi Takashima. The series revolves around the pure love story between two high school girls, Yui Yamada and Tomoka Kase. The anime initially debuted as a five-minute animated short titled "Kimi no Hikari" released on YouTube in May 2017. It features Hanako Oku's song "Kimi no Egao (album ver.)" as its theme song. The short, produced by ZEXCS, directed by Takuya Sato, and with character design by Kyuta Sakai, covers key plot points from the first three volumes of the manga, highlighting the shining moments between the two main characters. Subsequently, a theatrical OVA, "Asagao to Kase-san." (Morning Glories and Kase-san.), was released in June 2018, continuing the story after the two began dating. The OVA, which runs for 58 minutes, features the same production team, with Minami Takahashi and Ayane Sakura voicing Yui Yamada and Tomoka Kase, respectively. The theme song is a cover of I WiSH's "Asu e no Tobira" performed by the two voice actresses. The "Kase-san" series has gained popularity for its refreshing, pure love style and beautiful animation, with both the animated short and OVA receiving widespread acclaim.
