Anime-Gataris

Anime-Gataris (アニメガタリズ) is a Japanese anime series produced by WAO World, which premiered in the fall of 2017. The series is a prequel to the short anime "Anime-Gatari" that was shown in Toho Cinemas in Shinjuku, Tokyo from 2015 to 2016. The story revolves around Minoa Asagaya, a high school freshman who has just enrolled at Sakaneko Private High School. Despite knowing nothing about anime, she is invited by her classmate Arisu Kamiigusa to join the school's "Anime Research Club." Through conversations with her classmate Miko Kouenji and other anime-loving upperclassmen, Minoa gradually becomes hooked on anime. While the club members resist the student council's attempts to disband their club, they also enjoy discussing anime in places like Akihabara and hot springs. The anime explores anime production, fan culture, and the characters' passion for anime. The ending theme song, "Good Luck Lilac," is performed by GATALIS, a group composed of the characters Minoa Asagaya, Arisu Kamiigusa, and Miko Kouenji.
