Teasing Master Takagi-san

"Teasing Master Takagi-san" (Japanese: からかい上手の高木さん, Hepburn: Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Sōichirō Yamamoto. The story revolves around two middle school classmates, Takagi and Nishikata. Takagi enjoys teasing Nishikata, who constantly tries to get back at her, but usually fails. The manga began serialization in Shogakukan's Monthly Shōnen Sunday Mini in 2013, later moving to the main Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine in 2016, and concluding in 2023. The series has been compiled into 20 tankōbon volumes. Beyond the manga, the series has expanded into multiple anime adaptations, including three television anime seasons, an animated film, a live-action drama series and a live-action film. The anime is produced by Shin-Ei Animation, while the live-action adaptations are produced by Fine Entertainment. There are also several spin-off manga series, such as "Tomorrow is Saturday," "Yukari-chan in Love with Love," and "Teasing Master (Former) Takagi-san," which further enrich the series' universe. The setting is based on Tonoshō on Shōdoshima island in the Kagawa Prefecture, which has also served as a filming location for both anime and live-action versions. The series is widely popular for its lighthearted and humorous style, and the entertaining interactions between the two main characters.
