"The Autobots" is a 2015 Chinese 3D animated comedy film directed by Zhuo Jianrong and produced by Xiamen Bluemtv Animation. The film tells the story of 8-year-old boy Kaka who, with the help of his assistant Dingding, develops a chip called the "K system" and uses it to create three intelligent cars, K1, K2, and K3, that can communicate with humans. The story revolves around Kaka and his car friends, describing the interaction between racing cars and people. However, since its release, the film has been heavily criticized for its characters and poster designs that are highly similar to Pixar's "Cars," and accused of plagiarism. The film received extremely low ratings on platforms such as Douban Movie and IMDB, and was even named one of the lowest-rated movies in Douban history. In addition, the film led to a series of copyright lawsuits, with Disney eventually winning the case and Bluemtv Animation being ordered to pay compensation. Despite the controversy, "The Autobots" was still released in theaters and subsequently made available for paid online viewing. A planned sequel, "The Autobots 2," was also canceled due to copyright disputes.
