Seven Senses of the Re`Union

Seven Senses of the Re'Union (Japanese: 七星のスバル, Shichisei no Subaru) is a Japanese light novel series written by Noritake Tao and illustrated by Booota. Set in 2034, it follows the legendary party “Subaru,” a group of six elementary school friends who excelled in the globally popular MMORPG “Union.” However, when one of their members dies in the game, “Union” shuts down. Six years later, a new game called “Re'Union” launches, with similar mechanics. When Haruto, a former member of Subaru, encounters Asahi, his deceased teammate, within “Re'Union,” the former members of Subaru gather once again to unravel the mystery behind her return. The light novel series, published by Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint, consists of eight volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Lerche aired in 2018, consisting of 12 episodes. The opening theme is "360° Hoshi no Orchestra" by petit milady, and the ending theme is "Starlight" by Erii Yamazaki. The series blends action, fantasy, and drama elements, exploring themes of friendship, loss, and the connection between the virtual and real worlds. The anime adaptation received mixed reviews upon its release.
