Granblue Fantasy: The Animation Season 2

Granblue Fantasy: The Animation Season 2 is the second season of the anime adaptation based on the role-playing video game developed by Cygames. The story continues from the first season, following Gran and his companions as they flee from the Erste Empire and continue their quest to find his father. In this season, they encounter new challenges and enemies, uncovering more truths about the Empire and mysterious powers. They briefly ally with Vira Lillie in Albion Citadel, and subsequently experience a series of events including Katalina's departure, a mist-shrouded island, and battles against immortal primal beasts. The season emphasizes the development of villains and delves into the backstories of each character. Produced by MAPPA, it aired from October to December 2019. While the plot continues the game's lore, the anime received some criticism regarding its production quality and music, but overall it remains a worthwhile watch for fans of the Granblue Fantasy series.
