爆釣バーハンター

Bakutsuri Bar Hunter is a Japanese media franchise created by Bandai, Shogakukan, Studio Gallop, and Toei Animation. It includes a toy line that began release on March 17, 2018, a Nintendo 3DS game, a manga series, and an anime television series. The story is set in a "barcode sea" deep within the barcodes of everyday life, where mysterious creatures known as "bar souls" reside. People can catch these bar souls using a "Bakutsuri Bar Rod" and enjoy an augmented reality fishing experience. The protagonist, Totta Tachitsute, finds such a rod at his late father’s grave, and embarks on his AR fishing adventure with his bar-soul penguin partner, Potepen. The manga series has been serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic, while the anime aired on TV Tokyo from October 2, 2018 to March 26, 2019. The franchise also includes other titles such as the Nintendo Switch game, Bakutsuri Hunters.
