Crossing Time (Japanese: 踏切時間, Hepburn: Fumikiri Jikan, lit. "Railroad Crossing Time") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshimi Sato. It was serialized in Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine from May 2016 to September 2021. The manga consists of short, omnibus-style stories that depict the daily conversations and scenarios of people waiting at railroad crossings. The series has been collected into eight tankōbon volumes. In 2018, it was adapted into a short-form anime television series by Ekachi Epilka, which aired on Tokyo MX and other channels, consisting of 12 episodes, each lasting 5 minutes. The anime was directed by Yoshio Suzuki, with Misuzu Chiba handling series composition and scripts, and Kaori Takamura as the character designer. The anime, like the manga, focuses on everyday stories occurring at railroad crossings, showcasing dialogues and snippets of life from different characters. Both the manga and anime are well-regarded for their lighthearted humor and detailed portrayal of daily life. The anime was also streamed on Crunchyroll.
