How Not to Summon a Demon Lord

"How Not to Summon a Demon Lord," also known as "Isekai Maō to Shōkan Shōjo no Dorei Majutsu" (Japanese: 異世界魔王と召喚少女の奴隷魔術), is a Japanese light novel series written by Yukiya Murasaki and illustrated by Takahiro Tsurusaki. The story revolves around Takuma Sakamoto, a skilled player of the MMORPG "Cross Reverie" known as "Demon Lord Diablo," who is transported to another world in his in-game avatar. Two young girls, Rem, a Pantherian, and Shera, an Elf, summon him, attempting to enslave him. However, due to his magic ring's ability "Magic Reflection," the magic backfires, and they become his slaves instead. Due to his severe social anxiety, Takuma acts like his in-game persona to cope. He uses his vast knowledge and skills from "Cross Reverie" to survive this new world, traveling with Rem and Shera to find a way to remove their slave collars while aiding them with their personal issues. The series has been adapted into a manga and anime, with the anime's first season airing in 2018 and the second in 2021. It blends fantasy, adventure, comedy, and harem elements.
