Last Period: The Journey to the End of the Despair

"Last Period: The Story of an Endless Spiral" (Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari) is a mobile game developed by Happy Elements, which also has an anime adaptation of the same name. The game was launched in May 2016, while the anime aired in the Spring of 2018. "Last Period" is set in a fantasy world that incorporates elements of mobile gacha games. The story revolves around the "Periods" of the Arc End 8th Squad, heroes who battle monsters called "Spirals." However, their existence is jeopardized when their treasury is stolen. To make matters worse, their attempts to find paying jobs are constantly foiled by a rival group called "Wiseman." The game has also collaborated with several other series, including "KonoSuba," "Higurashi When They Cry," "Ensemble Stars!," "A Certain Magical Index," "Re:Zero," "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?," "Merc Storia," "Hatsune Miku," "Shaman King," and "Nijisanji." There is also a collaboration between "Merc Storia" and this game, as well as crossover content between the anime and "Higurashi When They Cry." Both the game and the anime are popular among players and viewers for their unique plots and character designs.
